Rather than treating the pen and ink as separate releases, this gift set presents them as a deliberately matched writing system, with the translucent gold-grey resin of the M200 echoing the mineral-inspired color and shimmer of the accompanying bottled ink.
Pelikan introduced the Pyrite edition in September 2026 as the writing-instrument counterpart to its annual Edelstein Ink of the Year. Pyrite is known for a metallic gold-grey appearance, and Pelikan translates that character into a transparent resin body and cap containing fine golden shimmer particles. The effect changes with the light: warmer gold tones emerge at some angles, while cooler metallic notes become more apparent at others.
