Created to honor Pilot's 1918-2018 centennial, the Namiki Yukari 7 Gods 100th Anniversary Seven Fountain Pen Set brings together seven Yukari-size fountain pens, each adorned with maki-e lacquer work celebrating the Shichifukujin, the Seven Gods of Good Fortune in Japanese culture. Executed by Namiki's Kokkokai artisans on ebonite bodies finished in deep urushi, the set unites traditional iconography with the balanced proportions and daily usability of the Yukari format.
Each pen presents a distinct narrative tableau in layered urushi, dusted with gold and silver powders and polished to a soft luster using classic togidashi techniques. Select raised elements add dimensionality in taka maki-e, while raden inlays catch the light with subtle iridescence. The result is a coherent suite of companion pieces that can be appreciated individually or as a complete cultural vignette.
