I paid my money for a broad nib and was sent a regular one if I wasn’t so busy I would return it, but I would not use the seller again.
Even the extra fine nib seems to write like a 1.1 tip. This was misleading and I most likely will not be using this pen.
HOWEVER, if you do prefer a large pen that writes thick, this is likely a great price and perfect intro pen!
The Lamy Joy is obviously similar to the Lamy Safari but with a much longer barrel. I have big hands and appreciate the extra length. You’ll use this at your desk. It is not suitable for carrying in a pocket, nor would it fit in most pen cases. Like a Safari, the grip encourages holding the nib at a specific angle, which is quite helpful for using stub nibs. I got it with the 1.9mm stub and am happy with it.
