I received a sample of this ink and it has promise, but unless you are using a thicker paper it will bleed through rather easily. I swatched this in my standard notebook and noticed minor bleeding through the page. There is zero sheening to this ink and shading is present, but only on heavier saturation. This ink also writes incredibly dry. With a glass dip pen I had numerous hard starts and effectively drench the nib to get it to write steadily.
