I have been wanting one of these pens for a while. While at the Orlando Pen Show I bought one and I am super happy with it. It can be a pretty wet writer so I have to be selective with the paper I use as well as using some blotting paper. I enjoy using it for journaling. I was a real heavy writer so I have had to soften my writing with this pen, but notice it makes my experience better. Overall, it is a great pen.
I purchased my Pelikan M1000 from Truphae a couple of weeks ago. It immediately claimed the number one spot as the finest fountain pen I have ever used. I love it. I write small and the fine nib on my M1000 just flows smoothly across the page and is surprisingly wet as it puts down a satisfying amount of ink, especially for a fine nib. I don’t consider myself a collector and I own just a few pens. However, I write a lot and I love to write with a fountain pen. The Pelikan Souveran M 1000 is now my favorite writer and my everyday pen.
