The Gravitas Vac 2.0 Aluminium Black Fountain Pen is a high-capacity vacuum filler engineered around Gravitas' Kraken filling system. Its transparent yellow Ultem barrel is reinforced with black anodized aluminium at key points, while a black PVD-coated stainless steel section gives the pen a purposeful industrial look and a subtly front-weighted balance.

Design & Construction

The Vac 2.0 pairs Ultem and aluminium with stainless steel components to create a robust, serviceable pen designed for long-term use. An integrated ink window allows quick monitoring of the reservoir, while a Delrin cap sleeve and ACME threading improve sealing and provide a secure push-posting fit.

Writing Experience

This example is fitted with an Extra Fine proprietary Gravitas #6 stainless steel nib. The micro-machined grooves on the section provide a secure grip, and the revised balance places reassuring weight toward the front of the pen for controlled writing.

Filling System

The compact Kraken vacuum mechanism provides an unusually large ink capacity of more than 4.5 mL. The modular system can be disassembled for cleaning and maintenance, making the Vac 2.0 particularly appealing for frequent writers and collectors who value mechanical engineering as much as writing performance.

Condition

This pen is new old stock (NOS) and appears unused. It includes its original Gravitas box and papers. It is being offered from our pre-owned inventory despite its NOS condition.
