The LAMY AL-star Special Edition Aquatic Fountain Pen brings the brand's clean, modern design to an eye-catching seasonal finish. Built from lightweight aluminum and paired with a transparent grip, it is an easy, reliable upgrade for daily notes, study sessions, and journaling.
Craftsmanship & Design
An anodized aluminum barrel and cap deliver a durable, featherlight feel, while the aquatic finish adds a fresh, contemporary look. The clear grip offers a view of the feed and helps you find a consistent hand position. LAMY's signature polished wire clip keeps the pen secure on pockets and notebooks, and the snap cap opens and closes with a reassuring click.
Writing Experience
A stainless steel nib provides a smooth, dependable line with just the right feedback. Choose extra fine, fine, or medium to match your handwriting style, and swap nibs easily thanks to LAMY's interchangeable system. The AL-star fills with LAMY T10 cartridges for grab-and-go convenience, or pair it with the LAMY Z28 converter for bottled ink versatility (converter sold separately).

Beautiful pen. This is a gift and it's exactly what they asked for.
The pen is beautiful. The only thing is the color is not a sky blue it’s more of a teal color. I wish they made it in the color shown online. Nonetheless I’m a LAMY lover and the pen is gorgeous.
Despite having a number of Lamy pens, this is my first AL-star. All of my other Lamys either have a rubberized grip section or matte finish - I always thought the smooth grip section would be slippery. I was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case (although I haven't used the pen for a marathon writing session yet). The deep blue of the grip section is reminiscent of the Aurora 88 Terra (a pen I'll never be able to afford - and would be afraid to use if I could). It's beautiful pen. Over the years, Lamy nibs have acquired a reputation for inconsistency (which I have personally experienced with several products) - well, either Lamy has upped their quality control or Truphae has a magical vault in which they store their Lamy nibs - because the nibs on every Lamy I have purchased from Truphae (even loose ones) have been wonderful.
