The Pilot Vanishing Point Yellow Fountain Pen pairs the brand’s signature retractable fountain-pen mechanism with a bright yellow lacquered body and rhodium-tone trim. This is the later standard-production Yellow version, not the 2003 Mandarin Yellow Limited Edition.
The Vanishing Point is built around Pilot’s retractable nib system, allowing the fountain-pen nib to extend and retract with a push-button mechanism rather than a traditional cap. The metal-bodied construction gives the pen a substantial feel, while the vivid yellow lacquer and rhodium-plated trim create one of the most recognizable color combinations in the discontinued standard-production range.
This example is fitted with an 18k gold Medium nib. The nib unit retracts completely into the body when not in use, where an internal door helps protect it from drying. The pen fills with Pilot cartridges or a compatible converter.
The standard Yellow Vanishing Point remained in Pilot’s lineup into the late 2010s before being discontinued. It should not be confused with the more saturated 2003 Mandarin Yellow limited edition, which was a separate numbered release. The discontinued standard Yellow has developed its own following because of its bright color, practical retractable design, and comparatively limited availability on the secondary market.
This pen is in mint pre-owned condition. It is offered without the original box or papers.

U.S. Orders:
Free Shipping: We offer free shipping for all U.S. orders over $20, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Standard Shipping Fee: For U.S. orders below $20, a flat shipping fee of $5.99 will be applied.
International Orders:
Shipping Rates: International shipping rates are calculated based on the weight of the package and the destination country.
Exclusions: Currently, we do not offer shipping to Russia and South Africa.
